I offer traditional talk therapy, mixed with somatic awareness, mindfulness, and trauma techniques to help clients to move toward more authenticity and empowerment in their lives. I offer individual therapy to adults who want support for their anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, loss, and life transitions. I specialize in: psychodynamic psychotherapy; healing from trauma; relationship stressors; end-of-life; and grief and loss. Whatever arises along the path of therapy becomes part of the process.
One therapy I use, called Inner Relationship Focusing, uses parts-work to unearth buried stories and change old patterns. I also use two powerful trauma resolution tools, Somatic Experiencing (SE) and EMDR, which help the brain and body to process past traumas and restore inner balance. I have received the SEP certificate after the 3-year SEI training.
My passions in life include making music and connecting with nature. I have been practicing mindfulness and meditation for more than 30 years, and this practice has had a profound impact on my work as a therapist.
